Genius of Liberty standing, holding two very large angel wings, writing on a stele placed on a small column. A drape on the left shoulder falls along the body. The genius stands on a cippus. Behind it, a vertical fasces is surmounted by the hand of justice. To the right, a rooster stands on one leg. At the very bottom of the coin, in the center, the engraver's signature, Dupré.

Reverse

The French motto: Liberty, Equality, Fraternity surrounding an oak leaf wreath. The coin's value 20 FRANCS and the year of issue are displayed within it.
