The Lord of the Rings - The Fellowship of the Ring - €10 Silver Coin - Proof 2026
The engraving for this coin was carried out by the engraving workshop of the Monnaie de Paris based on illustrations from the graphic charter of the film The Fellowship of the Ring. Thus, this coin represents the beginning of our heroes' adventures.
OBVERSE
On the obverse, guided by Gandalf the Grey, the benevolent and protective leader of the Fellowship of the Ring, they will leave the calm of the Shire (found on the map of Middle-earth in the background). They will meet the elves, legendary creatures who will ally with them in the quest to destroy the One Ring, represented here by Arwen. Their journey will quickly take a dramatic turn at the story's turning point, before the mythical Doors of Durin where Gandalf the Grey will disappear and the Fellowship will be scattered.
On the lower part, the inscription "Communauté de l’Anneau" and the year complete the design.
REVERSE
The reverse of this coin depicts the One Ring, overlooking the Eye of Sauron and enhanced by a selective gold plating. Its inscription, written in Black Speech and traced in Tengwar, is revealed here by the flames of Mount Doom. Each reverse is engraved with the face value, the mint marks of the Monnaie de Paris, the mention RF (République Française), as well as the year 2026 and the copyright New Line Production relating to The Lord of the Rings saga.
