OBVERSE

The inner part of the coin depicts the region of Mazoji, also known as Lithuania Minor, which is one of the five ethnographic regions of Lithuania. Historically, the name encompasses the northwestern part of Prussia, colonized by Lithuanian immigrants from the end of the 15th century. The current region corresponds to the former Memel territory occupied by the Republic of Lithuania in 1923. The name Lithuania Minor was precisely given by Prussian authorities in reference to the control they exercised over an ethnic Lithuanian majority outside of Lithuania proper.

All towns in former Lithuania Minor therefore have both Lithuanian and German names. In the upper part, the name of the issuing country "LIETUVA" and the year of issue "2025". In the lower part, the name of the region "MAZOJI LIETUVA" and the mint mark.
