On the obverse, a design commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of mathematician Josip Plemelj (born in 1873, died in 1967), the year 2023, and the name of the issuing country SLOVENIJA (in French 'SLOVÉNIE'); on the ring, the twelve emblematic five-pointed European stars pointing upwards.

REVERSE

Map of the European Union on the right side of the obverse and extending onto the outer ring, between two sets of six parallel vertical lines, each marked with a star; on the right, on the outer ring, the engraver's signature LL in a monogram.
