⁣⁢The inner part depicts the portrait of Saint Marin wearing the three Towers, a detail from a painting by Giovan Battista Urbinelli, titled "Madonna in glory with the saints" (National Museum of San Marino). To the right in a semicircle is the name of the issuing country "SAN MARINO" and the year of issue "2021", to the left the letter "R", for the Rome Mint, below it the mark of Silvia Petrassi, the author of the plaster model, and "MOD". In the lower left part are the initials of the sketch designer "AL" (Arno Ludwig).
The outer ring of the coin features the twelve stars of the European flag.⁤⁣
