Cyril holds a book representing education and faith, while Methodius is depicted carrying a church symbolizing faith and institutional Christianity. Around the edge, the name of the issuing country " SLOVENSKO ", the year " 863 ", and the year of issue " 2013 ". The mint mark of the Kremnica Mint and the initials of the coin designer Miroslav Hric will also be found.
The outer ring of the coin features the twelve stars of the European flag. ⁤⁣
