Two Buddhist protectors frame the composition: Vajrapāṇi on the left, armed with the vajra against evil forces, and Vaiśravaṇa on the right in armor, carrying a pagoda symbolizing prosperity and vigilance. The reverse features a globe crossed by parallels and meridians, with the UNESCO logo and the mention "World Heritage" on the left. The face value is harmoniously integrated into the geographical grid. On the right, inscriptions of major World Heritage sites are engraved as if in stone, evoking the iconography of the Rosetta Stone.
