OBVERSE 

Three young people in the center of the coin, one holding the flag of Vatican City, another the flag of Spain, and the third the WYD logo. The name of the issuing country "CITTÀ DEL VATICANO", Vatican City, is inscribed below the central design. Above, the inscription "G.M.G.", WYD, and in the upper left, the Roman numeral "XXVI", 26. In the center, the year of issue "2011", the mint mark "R" from the Rome mint, and the engraver's name "O. Rossi". The outer ring of the coin features the twelve stars of the European flag.
