OBVERSE

⁣⁢The original medal illustrating Daniel Morgan's Victory depicts him full-length on the obverse,
about to be crowned by a Native American queen, an allegory of America; a
female figure clad in a short cuirass and wearing a feathered headdress.⁤⁣

REVERSE

The reverse shows the commanding general leading the charge on horseback, followed by his troops on foot, routing the fleeing English adversary. It is signed by engraver Augustin Dupré, who was then Chief Engraver of the Monnaie de Paris.
