OBVERSE

The obverse is designed around the iconic wing of the Moulin Rouge. Each part of the coin references artistic crafts: costume, millinery, embroidery, shoemaking, and ballet. These are blended with elements of the festive and spectacular universe of the Moulin Rouge. The ensemble pays tribute to the craftsmanship that contributes to the magic of the cabaret. The mint mark of the Monnaie de Paris, Joaquin Jimenez's mark, and the engraving workshop mark, along with the year of issue, are also present on the obverse. The blue, white, and red colorization echoes the colors of the French flag and the French Cancan skirt.

REVERSE

The reverse of this coin features the face value surrounded by two branches, one of oak, the other of laurel, which evoke the Euro symbol. The entire reverse design is framed by "République Française" and an arrangement of lines representing the hexagon.
