On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the first appearance of Astérix and Obélix in PILOTE magazine in 1959, the Monnaie de Paris celebrates another anniversary of our two favorite Gauls by striking a new collection of coins and medals in their likeness. Since their first adventures, Astérix and Obélix have traveled to distant lands and made friends all over the world!

Their adventures are now translated into 117 different languages, making our two Gauls true international comic book icons. Limited to only 1,000 copies, this miniset features the three new denominations of 10, 20, and 50 euro cents in Brilliant Uncirculated quality. This series contains all 8 French circulation denominations in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) quality.

The 1€ coin is struck exclusively for Minisets as well as Proof sets and will not be struck in circulating quality in 2024.
