The Dutch National Money Week ("De Week van het geld") is celebrating its 10th anniversary. National Money Week is an initiative of the Moneywise platform, part of the Dutch Ministry of Finance, aimed at improving financial literacy in the education system. By developing financial awareness from a young age, children and young adults lay the foundation for their financial independence later in life. Due to the coronavirus crisis, the tenth anniversary of National Money Week was postponed to March 22-26, 2021. 

On the obverse of the medal are the words "10 jaar" (10 years) and the piggy bank from the National Money Week logo. On the reverse, the motto "Goed omgaan met geld is goud waard" (handling money responsibly is worth its weight in gold) is inscribed. This is the theme of this year's National Coin Week. The obverse of the medal appears on the reverse. The small coins you see on the reverse are exact copies of the obverse!
