OBVERSE

Sport, athletes, and their movements are celebrated here. In 2022, Show Jumping is depicted on the Coins. Equestrian events at the Olympic Games are represented in three disciplines (individually and by team): show jumping, dressage, and eventing. It consists of clearing several mobile obstacles in a predetermined order as quickly as possible. Equestrianism, along with modern pentathlon, is the only Olympic sport where animals compete with humans, but also one of the few sports in which both sexes compete.

REVERSE

The common reverse for the series features a view of Paris where the Seine takes on the appearance of an athletics track. The Eiffel Tower dominates the city and illuminates the competition.
