OBVERSE

The inner part of the coin features a commemorative design for the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Financial Guard. It is a stylized version of the Financial Guard's heraldic emblem, interpreting the concept of security and offering a future vision of the corps' role. This emblem includes various elements: the mountain, the sea, and the sky – the natural environments where the corps operates; the griffin (a mythological creature said to guard treasure) represented by the State Treasury; and the turreted crown. In the upper part, the inscription "GUARDIA DI FINANZA"; in the lower part, the year of issue "2023", the monogram of the Italian Republic "RI", and the mint mark of the Rome Mint "R".
