OBVERSE

On the obverse, the Little Prince is seated cross-legged on the ground of his planet in the center of the coin. He looks kindly at the fox he is cradling on his lap. Behind him, his rose, planted in the planet's soil, stands under a glass dome. The sky in the background is filled with stars. A planet and a biplane without passengers can also be seen. The plane is both a tribute to the story's author, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, and to the theme of travel explored in the collection. The inscriptions "Le Petit Prince" and "80 ans" as well as the year 2026 are featured on the design. 

REVERSE

The reverse features the face value surrounded by two branches, one of oak and the other of laurel, evoking the euro symbol. The entire reverse design is framed by "French Republic" and an arrangement of lines representing the Hexagon.
