This shaped coin, colorized in blue, white, and red, echoing the colors of the French flag and the French Cancan skirt, is inspired by the skirts of French Cancan dancers.

OBVERSE

⁣⁢On the obverse, in the foreground, two French Cancan dancers are captured in dynamic motion.
In the background, the mythical Moulin Rouge with its wings, as well as the decor from the French Cancan painting depicting a part of the Eiffel Tower. The Moulin Rouge initials sign the design.⁤⁣

REVERSE

The reverse is designed around the iconic wings of the Moulin Rouge. Each part of the coin references artisanal crafts: costume, feather work, embroidery, shoemaking, and ballet. These are blended with elements from the festive and spectacular universe of the Moulin Rouge. The ensemble pays tribute to the skills that contribute to the cabaret's magic. The "RF" (French Republic) inscription is at the bottom of the coin, along with the year of issue. The mint mark of the Monnaie de Paris, Joaquin Jimenez's mark, and the engraving workshop's mark, as well as the face value, are engraved at the top of the coin.
