OBVERSE

The inner part of the coin depicts a seven-pointed star with the inscription in Greek: "150 years since the union of the Ionian Islands (EPTANISA) with Greece 1864-2014", the name of the issuing country "Hellenic Republic" with the Greek Mint's mint mark below it. Between each point of the star are the symbols of the Ionian Islands, with a stylized wave decorative frieze around the perimeter.
