OBVERSE

This mini-medal pays tribute to the 4 major Allied nations that participated in the Normandy landings on June 6, 1944. Beneath bombers, the 4 colorized flags overlook three helmets and a beret, each belonging to one of the Allied nations: a Canadian infantry helmet, an American infantry helmet, a British paratrooper beret, and a French marine helmet.

REVERSE

The reverse of the mini-medal depicts a stylized map of France engraved with the official event logo.
