OBVERSE

⁣⁢The design symbolizes Slovakia's entry into the European Union and the Eurozone through a stylized portal that spans a map of Slovakia and a euro symbol surrounded by the stars of the European Union, some of which are covered by the map. The coat of arms of Slovakia appears on the left side of the design. In the lower left, the name of the issuing country, "SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA", is inscribed in a semicircle. The date of the country's establishment, "1.1.1993", and the year of issue of the coin, "2018", appear one above the other below the right side of the map. Between the map and the date are the mint mark of the Kremnica Mint (Mincovňa Krem­ nica), namely the initials "MK" between two mint punches, and the stylized letters "PK", initials of Pavel Károly, the designer.⁤⁣
