OBVERSE

To mark the 65th anniversary of the first appearance of Astérix and Obélix in PILOTE magazine in 1959, Monnaie de Paris celebrates another anniversary of our two favorite Gauls by striking a new collection of coins and medals featuring them.

Since their first adventures, Astérix and Obélix have traveled to distant lands and made friends around the world! Their adventures are now translated into 117 different languages, making our two Gauls true international comic book icons.

The reverse is common to the other mini-medals from the Monnaie de Paris and is dated 2024.
