OBVERSE

⁣⁢The obverse side depicts Earth in the open palm of an astronaut. In the background, a sky full of stars is recognizable. This design gives the observer the impression of being inside the astronaut's helmet, having successfully grasped the planet to admire it.
Along the edge of the coin are inscribed the mentions "12 756 km" and "23h56," which are the diameter of the Earth and its rotation period.⁤⁣

REVERSE

On the reverse side, the face value is surrounded by two branches, one of oak, the other of laurel, evoking the Euro symbol. The entire reverse design is framed by "République Française" and an arrangement of lines representing the Hexagon.
