CThis Austria series in an annual presentation box includes the eight euro coin denominations for the year 2009, struck in BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) quality.
- Coins of 1, 2, and 5 cents - elements of flora including a gentian, an edelweiss, a traditional symbol of Austrian identity, and the alpine primrose, all from the floral series, which recalls Austria's ecological duty and its role in implementing a community environmental policy.

The inner part illustrates a stylized human silhouette whose left arm is extended by the euro symbol. It conveys the idea that the single currency, and by extension the Economic and Monetary Union, are the culmination of Europe's long history of trade and economic integration.
