representing the most famous of Gauls. Perched on the top step of the podium, Astérix stands proudly and
holds a laurel branch in his hand as a reward for his sporting exploits. ⁤⁣

REVERSE

The reverse of the coin is adorned with pictograms related to sport and Olympism and features the coin's face value, its year of issue, and the initials RF for "République Française" (French Republic).
