The inner part of the coin features, on the left, the effigy of His Royal Highness, Grand Duke Henri, looking to the right, and on the right, his monogram (a special H surmounted by a crown). The twelve stars appear in a semicircle to the right of the monogram. The year 2004, surrounded by the mint mark and the engraver's initials, as well as the word LËTZEBUERG are inscribed in a circle at the top of the ring. The words - HENRI - Grand Duke of Luxembourg - appear at the bottom of the ring.
