Collection of Euro coins issued in Portugal in 2019, struck in FDC (flor de cunho) quality on specially polished metal discs and packaged as a postcard. Designs inspired by the Alto Alentejo stone pottery, which is distinguished by the use of an ancestral decorative technique, traditionally crafted by women, where small quartz stones are manually embedded into the previously scratched clay, giving rise to pots, jars, and other abundantly decorated pieces, yet fulfilling their primary function: preserving fresh water for domestic use or quenching the thirst of rural workers in the fields.
