OBVERSE

In summer, the Northern Hemisphere is tilted most towards the sun and therefore receives more light and heat during this season. The sun thus appears as a symbol of this season on the obverse of the coin. A world map centered on Switzerland is depicted in watermark at the heart of the radiant sun. In the lower left corner is the constellation typical of summer, the Summer Triangle. Around the edge of the coin are the word "Estate" (summer in Italian), as well as "giugno, luglio, agosto," the Italian names for the months of June, July, and August.
