OBVERSE

On the obverse of this coin featuring Jules Verne and his work globally, the author is depicted as a magician, revealing all his inventions and imaginations from his top hat. References to From the Earth to the Moon, Around the Moon, Five Weeks in a Balloon, Around the World in Eighty Days, The Mysterious Island, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas, and Journey to the Center of the Earth are blended together to paint a global image of the Extraordinary Voyages. The author's name, his dates, and the year of issue are to the left of the portrait.

REVERSE

The reverse is common to the entire "Art de la Plume" series. It features several emblematic quotes such as "The best is the enemy of the good" by Voltaire, "Lasciate ogne speranza voi ch’intrate" by Dante Alighieri, "To be or not to be, that is the question" by William Shakespeare, and "What does not kill me makes me stronger" by Nietzsche. A feather is engraved in the center of the coin. Below it is the title of the series. The mention "RF" is present at the bottom of the coin, as well as the mint marks of Joaquin Jimenez and the engraving workshop.
