OBVERSE

A magic wand with a swirl of stars and a world of objects related to European children's tales. The face value "1 1/2 €", the mint marks, and the motto "LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ" are in the center of the coin. Below are the year of issue "2002", "RF" the name of the issuing state of the French Republic, and the famous opening of children's tales "ONCE UPON A TIME...".

REVERSE

Cinderella is a children's fairy tale retold by Charles Perrault in 1697 and by the Brothers Grimm in 1812. In the center, from left to right, the depiction of the heads of Cinderella's sisters, the pumpkin with mice, a glass slipper, Cinderella dancing with the Prince, Cinderella in color sweeping the floor, and a clock indicating almost midnight.
