OBVERSE

Map of France including various historical monuments with different architectural styles. Inscriptions are on either side of the map. Clockwise, at the top the motto "LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ", then "1 EURO ½", at the very bottom "LES MONUMENTS DE FRANCE", the mint marks, the year "2004", and finally "RF" for French Republic.
