OBVERSE

On the obverse, a design commemorating the twenty-fifth anniversary of Grand Duke Henri's membership in the International Olympic Committee, with his portrait, stylized silhouettes of athletes, and the formation of the number 25 on the right, between the year 1998 and the year 2023; on the left, the name of the issuing country LËTZEBUERG (in French "LUXEMBOURG") and the inscription GROUSSHERZOG HENRI; at the bottom, the legend MEMBER VUM INTERNATIONALEN OLYMPESCHE KOMMITEE and the mint marks, including the horn of plenty from the Monnaie de Paris; on the ring, the twelve emblematic European five-pointed stars pointing upwards.

REVERSE

Map of the European Union on the right side of the obverse, extending onto the rim, between two series of six parallel vertical lines, each marked with a star; on the right, on the rim, the engraver's LL monogram signature of Luc Luycx.
