The engraving for this coin was carried out by the engraving workshop of the Monnaie de Paris based on illustrations from the graphic charter of the film The Fellowship of the Ring.

Thus, this coin illustrates the theme of the heir to the throne of Gondor, which is one of the guiding threads of the saga.

OBVERSE

It is illustrated on this coin with, on the obverse, Andúril, the Flame of the West, the name given to Narsil, Elendil's sword broken during the Last Alliance. It was kept as an inheritance for the heirs of Isildur before being reforged in Rivendell, where it became Andúril. Around the sword appear the great symbols of Gondor — stars, crowns, and the White Tree — which embody the restored royalty.

REVERSE

The reverse of this coin depicts the One Ring, overlooking the Eye of Sauron. Its inscription, written in Black Speech and traced in Tengwar, is revealed here by the flames of Mount Doom. Each reverse is engraved with the face value, the mint marks of the Monnaie de Paris, the mention RF (French Republic), as well as the year 2026 and the copyright New Line Production relating to The Lord of the Rings saga.
