Germany 2012 - 2 Euro Commemorative Coin - 10 Years of the Euro
OBVERSE
The design in the center of the coin symbolizes the place the euro has gained in ten years, now being a fully-fledged global player, and its importance in daily life, with different aspects depicted: citizens (represented by a family of four), trade (the ship), industry (the factory), and energy (the wind turbines). The design is the creation of Mr. Helmut Andexlinger, a professional graphic artist at the Austrian Mint. The outer ring of the coin represents the twelve stars of the European flag.
The mint mark "A", "D", "F", "G", or "J" (each letter corresponding to a mint) appears to the right of the design.
REVERSE
A map of the European continent is depicted on a dynamic background composed of the twelve stars of the European Union.
