OBVERSE

The design depicts the "Grand Duchess Charlotte" bridge, which is the main artery connecting Luxembourg City center to the Kirchberg district, the site of the European Union institutions. The text "Pont Grande-Duchesse Charlotte" and, below it, the year "1966" are inscribed on the image of the bridge. The upper part of the design shows the effigy of Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and, to his left, the year of issue, "2016". The name of the issuing country "LUXEMBOURG" appears at the bottom of the design.

A map of the European continent is depicted on a dynamic background composed of the twelve stars of the European Union.
