OBVERSE

On the obverse of this coin, an imposing prehistoric monster is in the foreground. In the background, Professor Otto Lidenbrock carefully observes the horizon. In the center, the raft navigating the "Lindenbrock Sea" narrowly avoids colliding with two marine creatures in a duel. The characters of this fiction, evolving in a mineral universe, are represented on the right. On the left, a reference to the runic characters that guided the adventurers to the entrance of the Sneffels volcano is inscribed on a giant mushroom. In the background stands the Italian volcano Stromboli, through which the explorers emerge from the center of the Earth. The title of the work is in the center of the coin, and the year of issue and the author's name are at the bottom.

REVERSE

The reverse is common to the entire "Art de la Plume" series. It features several emblematic quotes such as "The best is the enemy of the good" by Voltaire, "Lasciate ogne speranza voi ch’intrate" by Dante Alighieri, "To be or not to be, that is the question" by William Shakespeare, and "What does not kill me makes me stronger" by Nietzsche. A feather is engraved in the center of the coin. Below it is the title of the series. The mention "RF" is present at the bottom of the coin, as well as the mint marks of Joaquin Jimenez and the engraving workshop.
