REVERSE

⁣⁢The Dome of the Rock (Arabic: قبة الصخرة Qubbat aṣ-Ṣakhra) is an Islamic shrine located on the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem. It was initially completed in 691–92 CE on the order of the Umayyad caliph Abd al-Malik. The original dome collapsed in 1015 and was rebuilt in 1022–23. The Dome of the Rock is, at its core, one of the oldest surviving works of Islamic architecture. It is the most recognizable landmark in all of Jerusalem.
The site's great importance to Muslims stems from traditions connecting it to the creation of the world and the belief that Hazrat Muhammad's (peace be upon him) night journey to paradise began from the rock at the center of the structure.⁤⁣
