Freedom guiding the people - money of € 500 or 5 oz - be 2023
Presale, official release on 02/21/2023
Obverse
The face represents one of the most famous works of Eugène Delacroix: freedom guiding the people, painted in 1830 representing Marianne brandishing the French flag.
The currencies represent the entire table: the € 250 silver in colorization and the € 500 gold in engraving. The print "masterpieces of museums", on the € 500, which signs the currencies of this series has been added at the top right and mixes with the work (with the exception of the € 250 silver) . The name of the work, that of the artist as well as the 2023 vintage complete the decor around the painting.
Reverse
The reverse is common to the series, it presents a mixture of views of several great French museums: top left, it is an interior view of the Musée d'Orsay,
recognizable by his superb clock. Next to it, there is a view of the Louvre facade, visible from the Napoleon court (where the very famous pyramid is located). Below these two elements, we see a fresco present on the Salé hotel which houses the Picasso museum. The lower part of the reverse exposes a view of the facade of the Biron hotel which is the current Rodin museum. Above, we find the famous staircase at the Center Pompidou. The facial value and the mention "French Republic" are also inscribed on this reverse.
