Obverse

The drawing in the center of the piece symbolizes the place acquired in ten years by the euro, which is now a global actor in its own right, and its importance in daily life, different aspects being described: citizens (represented by a family of four), trade (the boat), the industry (the factory ) and energy (wind turbines). The drawing is the creation of Mr. Helmut Andexlinger, a professional graphic designer for the Austrian currency. The external ring of the room represents the twelve stars of European flag.
