Obverse

The drawing represents the Arkadi monastery. In the center is, in Greek, the inscription "Monas Tère d'Arkadi" and, along the inner edge, on the left, "Hellenic Republic". Are visible, in the upper right corner, the year of emission, "2016", and below the central registration, a palmette (the workshop brand of the Greek currency). In the lower right, we find the artist's monogram (George Stamatopoulos).

The outside ring of the room represents the twelve stars of the European flag.
