The left profile portrait of King Albert II (Modified compared to that present on the 1999-2007 parts) is surrounded by the twelve stars of the union between two of which is the letters Be For "Belgium"and the royal monogram: An A with the number II below, surmounted by a crown.
From 2009, the effigy is again that appearing on the documents from 1999 to 2007, because the modification of the effigy in 2008 was contrary to the recommendations of the Ecofin.
