The intercept® interior material allows the box to protect your collection objects from oxidation and aging. Adapted to the protection of currencies, medals and paper (sets of coins, postcards, letters, classification cards, documents, etc.) up to 180 x 160 mm format. Outdoor format: 331 x 160 x 185 mm.
The operating mode of the Intercept® box has been based on intercept® technology paved for more than 30 years: the copper particles contained in the material lastingly fix corrosive gases and create a neutral atmosphere, which protects the currencies of oxidation ( protection guarantees up to 15 years*). The effectiveness of this technology meets well -known DIN, ISO and ASTM standards. To extend the effectiveness of the intercept box beyond the 15th years, it is advisable to close the box directly after each use and to avoid opening it too much.
Box equipment: Cardboard (2 mm thick)
*Under normal storage conditions, the duration of action far exceeds the 15 years announced! It can happen, only in very unfavorable conditions (e.g., strong air pollution or permanent opening of capsules/boxes), that the capacity of the intercept material is exhausted before the maturity of 15 years. When the potential of the material is exhausted, a dark gray coloring to greenish appears on the surface of the product (and not on the currencies!). When this coloring occurs, it is time to replace the product with a new product.
