Obverse

In the center of the room is represented a stylized human silhouette surrounded by spirals. On his right is a stylized olive branch. At the edge of the internal ring is the inscriptions "XIII Special Olypics Games W.S.G. Athens 2011" (13th special Olympic Games, Athens 2011) and "ελληνικη Δημοκρατια" (Hellenic Republic) separated by the workshop brand.
The external ring of the room represents the twelve stars of the European flag.
