400th anniversary of the death of the painter Domínikos Theotokópoulos dit El Greco (1614-2014).

Obverse

The internal part of the play represents a portrait of Domínikos Theotokópoulos dit El Greco, Spanish painter, born in Crete in the Republic of Venice. The background has a typical figure of his work, illustration of his technique. The whole design is surrounded by an inscription reading in Greek "Δομηνικος θεοτοκοπουλος 1541-1614" and "ελληνικημοκρατια". On the left the vintage and the characteristic signature of the artist "Δομήνικος θεοτοκόπουλος εποίει". The external ring of the room has the twelve stars of the European Union.
