The Monnaie de Paris pays tribute to the greatest masterpieces present in French museums or having been painted in France.
The face of the currency represents the Table Guernica where it was painted. That is to say in the Picasso workshop at 7, rue des Grands-Augustins in Paris, not far from the currency of Paris. The canvas is visible with all its long. The title of the work and the name of the painter are visible on the wooden beam which supports the roof of the workshop. The stamp "Museum's masterpieces" which defines this series was added at the top left of the face. The 2020 vintage appears at the bottom right. The reverse is common to the series, it presents a mixture of views of several major French museums.
