Harry, Ron and Hermione discover that Gryffindor's sword can destroy the Horcruxes and go for him. Assigned by proximity to Salazar Slytherin medallion, Ron moves away from Harry and Hermione. But he returns to save Harry from a certain drowning and ends up destroying the medallion and thus getting closer to Hermione.
