30th anniversary of the European Union flag (1985-2015).

Obverse

The drawing represents the EU flag, a symbol that unites peoples and cultures sharing a vision and an ideal for a better common future. Twelve stars that turn into human silhouettes symbolize the birth of a new Europe. At the top right, in the semicircle, is indicated the emitting country, "Lëtzebuerg", and the years, "1985-2015". The artist's initials (Georgios Stamatopoulos) are at the bottom right. The outside ring of the room represents the twelve stars of the European flag.
