On the obverse, a design commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the Luxembourg flag, showing the flag on the right, between its creation year 1972 and the year 2022; on the left, a portrait of Grand Duke Henri; at 12 o'clock, the Dutch mint marks (including the caduceus of the Utrecht mint); at the bottom, the name of the issuing country LËTZEBUERG (in French "LUXEMBOURG"); on the ring, the twelve iconic five-pointed European stars pointing upwards.

REVERSE

Map of the European Union on the right side of the obverse and extending onto the ring, between two sets of six parallel vertical lines, each marked with a star; on the right, on the ring, the LL monogram signature of the engraver Luc Luycx.
