OBVERSE

The inner part of the coin depicts the Mazoji region, also called Lithuania Minor, which is one of Lithuania's five ethnographic regions. Historically, the name encompasses the northwestern part of Prussia, colonized by Lithuanian immigrants starting in the late 15th century. The current region corresponds to the former Memel territory occupied by the Republic of Lithuania in 1923. The name Lithuania Minor was precisely given to it by Prussian authorities in reference to the control they exercised over an ethnic Lithuanian majority outside of Lithuania proper.

All cities in former Lithuania Minor consequently have both Lithuanian and German names. In the upper part, the name of the issuing country "LIETUVA" and the year of issue "2025". In the lower part, the name of the region "MAZOJI LIETUVA" and the mint mark.
