⁣⁢The obverse of this coin brings together symbols dear to the Occitanie region. United, they summarize the essence of what makes up the region's identity.
In the center of the design, adorned with the region's name, the Occitan cross links all the other depicted elements. To the right, we find an illustrious figure from the region: Olympe de Gouges, a writer and revolutionary born in Montauban.
Below her portrait, the Nîmes Arena illustrates the millennia-old architectural heritage of this territory. On the left, Occitanie's natural heritage is represented by a view of the Pyrenees mountain range and the bust of a ibex from these mountains. Finally, a starry sky in which the planet Saturn floats and a
rocket flies refers to the aeronautical and space industry, inseparable from the region's prefecture: Toulouse.⁤⁣

REVERSE

⁣⁢This common reverse for the round coins in the collection brings together all the regions that make up French territory. The outline of the design is covered by sandblasted discs of different diameters. They form the silhouette of metropolitan France, distinguished by its polished finish.
On the surface, we find the letters RF struck with the French flag in heraldry, and the face value of 5€.⁤⁣
