The name of the issuing country, 'ΚΥΠΡΟΣ KIBRIS', as well as the phrase 'Πάφος 2017 – Πολιτιστική πρωτεύουσα Ευρώπης' (Paphos 2017 - European City of Culture) appear in the inner part of the national side of the coin.⁤⁣
