Latvia has unveiled the design for the 2 euro commemorative coin dedicated to the Ukrainian sunflower in support of Ukraine.
The sunflower is one of Ukraine's national symbols. Ukraine is one of the world's largest producers and exporters of sunflower oil, and since the start of the war in Ukraine, the sunflower has become a global symbol of peace.
The coin was designed by Latvian artist Krišs Salmanis. The central motif is a stylized image of a sunflower. The inscription "SLAVA UKRAINA ¡¡" (Glory to Ukraine) appears at the top, along with the name of the issuing country "LATVIJA" (LATVIA).
